Why I’m building this

Every time I reached for my phone to look up a word, I lost ten minutes to notifications. So I built something that can’t distract me: a microphone, a button, and a sheet of e-paper. I started by reverse-engineering a pair of smart glasses, then rebuilt the idea around an ESP32 — small, quick to wake, always listening only when you press the button.

The wired prototype works today. Right now I’m designing the custom board and enclosure — and I’d love for you to follow along.
